Hugo Chavez, Now an Official Tyrant
Hugo Chavez in all in for tyranny. He’s finally gone ahead and enacted a series of laws that all but cements his power as dictator, with the means to directly oppose the military if necessary, choke off money to disloyal regions, and more nationalization of private industry.
We’re fortunate that the Democrats didn’t manage to chase away our new allies in Colombia with their protectionist payback for all the union money they’ve gotten over the years. We’re going to need Colombia to get stronger to stand against one of the left’s favorite dictators.
