Also not surprising is that he’s managed to run off three mistrials in a row in other cases, so don’t be terribly shocked if this case ends up the same way. The criminal justice system isn’t particularly able to handle smart criminals who don’t get too big for their britches. It’s way too busy shuffling through the dumb and/or cocky ones to be able to spend the time and resources it takes to deal with them.
