You would think that it the anti-drilling folks had such a great argument, they wouldn’t oppose a vote on the matter since their great argument would easily win, right?
As it happens, not so much. Not only will Nancy Pelosi not permit a vote on a Republican proposal to allow drilling where we know we have a few billion gallons of oil, but she won’t even say why.
Her interview yesterday with George Stephanopoulis is a pretty amazing read. He asks ten times why she won’t allow a vote on offshore drilling and she hems and haws and prevaricates but never gets around to actually answering the question.
The answer is simple. If she allows a vote, she’ll lose. If she loses, she loses will she get beat by a Republican minority she has derided and insulted for two years, but she’ll also lose the opportunity to put her oppressive progressive energy policy into place. She won’t get to tell you what, where, and when to drive. She won’t get to funnel your money to her favorite environmental and anti-business groups. She won’t get to steal your money from you nearly as much as she wants.
But even worse for her, she won’t be the powerful Queen Bee that the MSM has made her out to be since before the election that made her Speaker.
So, instead of allowing a vote, she’s on a whirlwind book tour right now that’s spewing more CO2 into the air than you or I do in five years.
Meanwhile the Republicans are still in town and they aim to misbehave.

I didn’t see this but the other night I was flipping channels and came across C-span and some guy interviewing her about her book. OMG- the woman not only IS clueless, she LOOKS clueless and sounds like a total dunce. It was embarssing and I could only take about 3 or 4 minutes of it.
I should get compensated for having to endure her for that long!
And kudos to the repubs, keep it up!!!
