What’s Barack Obama’s Excuse?

| July 22, 2008 | Comments (1)

If you had been watching Barack Obama’s “press conference” in Jordan today, you would have learned two key facts:

1) “Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s…”
2) “[I]t’s always a bad practice to say ‘always’ or ‘never.’”

The funniest part of his Israel line is that he prefaced it by saying “Well let me be absolutely clear.” If he says that out of eye shot of a teleprompter, I’ll take all bets that a horrible mangling of our dear English language is imminent.

The second one is funny because it’s an elementary logical mistake that someone who was head of the Harvard Law Review and a working lawyer for a few years should never make.

Meanwhile, the MSM are insinuating that John McCain’s gaffes are a sign that he’s too old to be President. Well, okay. Fine. Let’s play that game.

John McCain will be 72 on August 29th. Let’s say that the MSM are correct and he’s too old to be President. Barack Obama, who has committed far more gaffes than McCain, will be 47 on August 4th.

So what’s his excuse?
