UN and the West Don’t Want A Genocidal Monster Arrested
It probably will not surprise you in the least that the effort by the ICC’s chief Prosecutor to get an arrest warrants for the genocidal Sudanede President Omar Hassan al-Bashir is being actively undermined by Western diplomats and the United Nations. The fear is that if the ICC issues an arrest warrant, al-Bashir will attack the UN soldiers who are in the Sudan or that he will order peacekeepers out of the country. Since the UN peacekeepers (in name only) are already planning to flee any aggressive move by a bunch of guys with outdated rifles and/or machetes, it’s not sure how much more running away they can do. And since al-Bashir has pretty much killed every non-Muslim person in Darfur, or had raped them into complete submission, it’s not clear how much worse things could get if the cowardly UN left the country altogether.
I swear, there’s no way I can feel more disgust for the way the international community coddles tyrants and kills millions upon millions of human beings all in the name of “stability”. I hate realpolitik with every fiber of my being. It is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most evil and destructive policy our diplomats have ever devised for dealing with other countries. Better to surrender to tyranny honestly than to do so with weasel words that allow us to pat ourselves on the back and say what a stable world we have. I have no illusions about our world. I know that as long as we remain human beings, there will always be evil men whose fondest desire is to enslave and oppress. I’ll be damned, though, if I sit by quietly and watch us help him put his boot on the throats of the innocent.
`It shames me to be a human being on days like this.
