Many immigrants live in this country already for decades; work hard at companies who would not survive without them. They are everything else but criminals. Many of them would be even better citizens than ….. There are many other important questions than deporting illegal immigrants: How is it possible that illegal immigrants can get work in the US, why were the employers not punished, who is paying them and who is profiting from their misery.

The deportations were one thing, the daily terror that many illegal and legal immigrants as well as regular US citizens have to go through is something else, but fall all under the same umbrella: Stupidly acting law enforcement teams executing laws, made to suppress people instead to give them freedom to develop and live their lives and bring this society a step forward. Is this “The land of the free”? You have obviously not seen much in your life, so be right and I’ll be wrong, however the facts are speaking differently.

I am very sure that someone who robs a liquor store because they are poor and want more money would like "the chance to react". We do not generally give them that chance, not because we are cruel, but because we are a nation of laws. Criminals who are in this country illegally take the risk that they could be arrested and deported at any time. There is no good reason to treat them differently from any other sort of petty criminal.

As for your comment, there is no indication that any cop "played Rambo" in those deportations. There wasn't even the allegation that they did so. Your example confused me because it did not reflect the reality of the cases the President was talking about. You were being engaged in fanciful hyperbole, just like he was. And you were wrong, just like he was.
