A Little Sharia Couldn't Be Bad, Right?

Bye Bye Britain.

The most senior judge in England tonight gave his blessing to the use of sharia law to resolve disputes among Muslims.

Lord Chief Justice Lord Phillips said that Islamic legal principles could be employed to deal with family and marital arguments and to regulate finance.

He went on to say that Sharia could never trump British law; for instance, stoning, cutting off of hands, and beatings were right out. Oh, goody gumdrops.

How many folks with a working brain their heads and the ability to read a newspaper or two actually believes that women and children will not be coerced into agreeing to accept the brutality of Sharia? That’s what Sharia does everywhere it exists. It is not a law chosen by everyone. It is a law that subjugates and destroys everyone but those men who wield absolute power because of it.

One day, very soon, we’ll see a news report from England. There will be a man and his wives, one of whom will no doubt be underaged. He will say quite convincingly that the women agreed voluntarily to the arrangement, which is encouraged by Sharia principles. He will be backed up fully by a prominent British Imam, who will explain why this is a perfectly valid way of living and how we should not condemn the man and his wives for their lifestyle choice. The reporter will ask the women if this is true and they will nod and smile with glassy, vacant eyes and a terrified smile. The report will end and those women, along with millions of others around the world, will know that one of the great bastions of freedom and civilization has abandoned them to the wolves of Islamism.
