General Clark Did a Dumb, Dumb Thing.
Did Wesley Clark really just hock a giant loogie all over John McCain’s leadership qualifications based on his military record? Seriously, former General Clark, who once ran entirely on his military record, has to have lost his ever-loving mind if he’s willing to say this on national television:
I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president.
I’d say it’s a better qualification than spending a few years as a “community organizer” whose main job was extorting state and local governments for taxpayer money, a few nearly anonymous years in the Illinois State Senate as the flavor of the month favorite of the corrupt Chicago Democratic political machine, and a cup of coffee or two in the big leagues of Congress.
If the Obama campaign wants to start comparing resumes, it had better start stealing accomplishments from folks who have actually done something in their lives more than sucking off the taxpayer spigot and cruising around the US in a really nice suit. For one, they could find someone who has actually won a contested campaign for major office.

Well, if flying a plane & being a POW won't cut it, maybe McCain should seek a most coveted endorsement that helped push General Clark on to the….pushed him into the….well, I don't know, pushed him somewhere….maybe that's not such a good idea.
You know…if he had said "I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down ALONE is a qualification to become president", I'd agree with him. Ditto on the years as a POW. Even together they are not ALONE enough to qualify McCain for the office of President. Personally, I'm not all that crazy about McCain – but come on! Forget the war service – even without it McCain is so much more qualified than Obama that the statement is absurd. So being a "community organizer" is qualification to be Pres????
