One of the coolest things I’ve seen concocted on the internet is going to happen today. Michelle Malkin and Melanie Morgan go live online at 4 PM Eastern and they’ll stay there until midnight. Their goal is to send more care packages to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan than has ever been sent by a single effort before. Ever. They’re calling the effort “From the Frontlines” and they’re going to have a whole slew of wonderful guests. You can catch the live “webathon” right here on my blog thanks to this here widgety thingy.

It can’t get any easier. If you’re inspired to send a care package yourself, there are several different types available with the lowest costing $15.99 all the way to almost $900. Sean Hannity has already promised to put up $15,000 himself. Michelle Malkin wants to match that.

Let’s help, guys. I know I have bills crashing in all at the end of the month, but I’m going to dig under my sofa cushions and crack open the piggy bank and see what I have. I’m pretty sure I can come up with $16. Money may be a bit tight, but I’m betting that you can free up a few bucks, too.

You know, I tried to give them money, but they wouldn’t accept my debit card. Granted, it only has a $100K limit, so maybe I’m not rich enough to donate. What’s up with that? Doctors Without Borders takes my money, why can’t they?

I don’t know. I tried to do the same thing just now and it didn’t work either. I figured that my address was screwy somehow, since they validate the card against the address on my billing statement (and my bank has a problem remembering my correct zip code).

I did give it a try, though.

I don’t know what time you all posted this but I read on the HotAir site many people were reported their cards were declined for no reason. Seems it is due to simply an overload of server traffic. Most eventually got through after several tries.
