Global Warming. Is There A Malady It Won’t Cause?

What’s the next menace to face us due to the sinister specter of global warming?

Why, energy-sapping worms that will infest poor, Southern yokels and make them even more poor and slovenly.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Diseases caused by worms and parasites are draining the health and energy of the poorest Americans, an expert said on Tuesday.

And diseases associated with the developing world, such as dengue fever and Chagas disease, may become a bigger problem for the United States as the climate changes, said Dr. Peter Hotez of George Washington University and the Sabin Vaccine Institute in Washington.

Somewhere, a Democratic congressional staffer just perked up like a cat when it hears a can opener. Not only has this doctor discovered yet another pernicious effect of the coming heat apocalypse the left can add to the growing list, he’s also found a great way for progressives to cast the poor as hapless victims of circumstance, evil corporations, and global warming “deniers”.

Surely some enterprising, yet largely unknown progressive politician, can come up with a brand new tax or regulation of government program to end this newfound menace. If not, then at least there’s Barack Obama to scoop it up and add it to his public policy junk wagon.

    Voiceless?? Please!!

"It's an unintended form of racism in a sense. We need to make these disease household words."

Since when did white Appalachians, blacks, Mexicans and poor Southerners become a common race?
