John McCain, Just As Unserious and Marxist as Obama on Energy

| June 11, 2008 | Comments (1)

Can any John McCain supporter tell me a fundamental difference between his energy policy and that of Barack Obama? Today he addressed our energy problems in two different venues. Here are the main points of what he said.

1) Oil companies make too much money. They should give that money back to consumers and spend some in research and development that will “[reduce] our dependency on foreign oil.

2) But they’re not allowed to do that by going to get the oil we know is there and is ours. That means no drilling in ANWR because it is, apparently, just like the Grand Canyon to him.

3) That also means that states can give gas companies permission to drill off their coasts, but if they do, the Federal Government should punish them.

4) Oil is a finite resource.

Seriously, you McCainacs. How is this not almost exactly the Democratic policy of taking our money because they think oil companies, which stock funds retirement programs and investment portfolios of perhaps millions of Americans, make too much profit and refusing to let oil companies get the oil we already own?

Help me out here.
