Political Radar: Obama Admits Smoking Cigarettes in Last Few Months
ABC News’ Sunlen Miller Reports: Senator Barack Obama told reporters in St. Louis today that he has fallen off the wagon and smoked cigarettes in the last few months.
It’s a shame that he can give a more direct and serious answer about his smoking habits than he can about his bigoted spiritual adviser and close friend, whether or not he’ll fight the Islamists who want you enslaved, or whether the Jerusalem may or may not be divided.
The again, the left takes smoking a lot more seriously than those other “distractions”. Smoking is the closest thing to a mortal sin the happy nanny fascists in the Democratic party have. Luckily for Obama, he’s admitted only to the occasional lapse instead of telling the reporters that it’s none of their damned business if he smokes or not and lighting one up right in front of them. I am sure that his mea cupla and show of shame has cost him only a few votes.
To be perfectly honest, I prefer a President who smokes. It shows me that he’s human and capable of enjoying an adult vice that doesn’t involve cigars and interns.

Well, so much for him being articulate AND clean.
I really don't mind a President who smokes. There is something greatly comforting to me in the image of my President bent over some papers, the Oval Office lit mostly by his desk lamp, and a cigarette burning in a big ceramic ashtray.
I have an itch in my head that tells me that many of the Presidents I'd consider the best were smokers. I could be wrong about that, though. I may have to hit Google tonight.
See he is like FDR.
I'd think less of him if he used one of those cigarette holder filters. I'd rather he smoked unfiltered Camels.
