Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush on Monday night, reading the resolution into the Congressional Record.
Kucinich, who unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination this year, unveiled a litany of alleged illegal and improper acts by Bush, including war crimes.
You have to both admire his pluck and question his sanity. Since I can knock down every single article he introduced right off the top of my head, it’s clear that he doesn’t have enough to bring an actual impeachment hearing. He’s not a stupid man, so I have to conclude that he’s just doing this for the same reason that your asshole of a neighbor plays his Slim Whitman yodeling albums at top volume when the weather is nice and he knows your windows are open. He doesn’t even like Slim Whitman but he knows you hate it and you’ll run around closing all your windows and you won’t be able to enjoy the beautiful day.
Robert McCain thinks that Barack Obama has got to be hating Kucinich right about now.
If Obama resists the urge to hunt down Kucinich and strangle that midget twerp, he’ll have passed a major test of character. This idiotic gesture –moving to impeach a lame-duck president who’ll be out of office in a mere seven months, no matter what –is exactly what Obama doesn’t need.

Obama needs the kook fringe, but he needs them to be quiet and unobtrusive. Instead that creepy Marxist dwarf Kucinich pulls this demagogic publicity stunt that gets them all riled up.
I’d say he’s in one dilly of a pickle right now (thank you Ned Flanders!) and there’s no good political way out of it for him. Then again, he could always pull the “Jerusalem Gambit” like he did last week and hope like hell that the MSM will give him yet another free pass on it. I’d say there’s a better than even chance that this will blow right over. Kucinich is a clown and most MSM reporters aren’t as perceptive nor objective as my friend Robert.
UPDATE: Confederate Yankee says, “Just do it”. That’s what I said back in December. The Democrats wussed out then. My guess is that they’ll wuss out now.
