Vets for Freedom has a new commercial out which asks Barack Obama two simple questions:
Senator Obama, when will you finally decide to go back to Iraq, to see the progress first hand and when will you finally decide to meet one-on-one, unconditionally, with General Petraeus?
The ad notes that Obama has not been to Iraq in about 2 1/2 years and that condition there have changed dramatically since then. Since Obama has made Iraq an important part of his campaign, one would think that he’d actually go there once in a while. Yet he refused an offer to travel there with John McCain.
I’d be very interested in the answer. The Obamessiah has no problem saying he’ll meet all manner of butchers and tyrants without preconditions. Why won’t he meet a US General on the same terms? What’s he afraid of?

He’s afaid of the truth. HE CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!! LOL.
Because the ‘generals’ you speak of are hand picked by your boy-king. Because they are hand picked, they are not loyal to the country, they are loyal to Bush. Does that make sense to you? Patreaous asks the WH what to say and he says it. I can teach a parrot to do that. Patreaous lost his credibility when he signed on to the Bush disgrace. You all have lost your credibility by not understanding that simple issue. Progressives are working to give you back your country. Stay out of our way and we will get the job done. Get in our way, and we’ll run you over without hesitation. If you didn’t want a monarchy, then we wouldn’t have a country in shambles. It’s your fault you are too scared of democracy.
Fred, those generals take a solemn oath to serve the United States of America. Period.
General Petraeus (and to learn to spell his name correctly when you slander him) has fulfilled his oath faithfully. I find it sad that you have to resort to empty slander to push your progressive point of view. Maybe getting the right generals in there – ones who will make us all conform to your view of the world whether we want to or not – would suit you better. Coercion is, after all, the progressive way.
isn’t it amazing how the liberals ALWAYS have to throw a “smack” at every person who’s point they disagree with? could it be the weakness of their position that causes this activity? well spoken there jimmy!–bravo!
“I find it sad that you have to resort to empty slander”
Because it competes with yours?
I find it sad that so many of my fellow middle class Americans continually vote against themselves on actual political matters such as the economy, infrastructure, education and health simply because politicians use propaganda such as war victory, abortion, and religion to stir their fears. Since when was the separation of church and state abolished? Its too bad that so many fall for such lies when the victory of this war – oil, energy and greed will only benefit a select portion of the population who are already untouched by economic woes due to their enormous wealth and protection by the current administration. It obvious from some of the ignorant comments above that we need to improve education, in particular geography and history, in this country.
