Here Comes The Leftist Rehabilitation of Scottie
Now that former White House Press Spokesman Scott McClellan has written a book that all but calls the President a liar and his inner circle the most evil of all evils, you can expect the left and the MSM (but I repeat myself) to elevate him to hero status.
Remember, though, that when McClellan was galumphing his way around press conferences at the beginning of the Bush Administration, before he was replaced by someone competent, the left could not spare a single kind word for him, ever. The only reason that they weren’t more harsh on him is that only the most heartless assholes could have gotten any joy from kicking him while he spent press gaggle after press gaggle just one second away from curling up in the fetal position behind the podium.
It’s also worth remembering that the right was no fan of McClellan either. He was one of the folks who should have been defending the war on its obvious intellectual merits (like, perhaps explaining to the press corps what a cease-fire is) without White House prodding every step of the way and he did not. His ineptitude is one of the biggest reasons that public opinion swung so badly against the war. Had he been marginally capable of using his nugget instead of standing there sweating and taking fire from the likes of Zombie Helen Thomas, the President and our military would be in much better shape today.

Please… he was small fry. Give credit where credit is due– to those idjits who masterminded the invasion: Rummy, Wolfie, Perle, etc.
How in the world could W and our very military be in better shape today if McClellan had acted differently?
