Syria Could Have Had A Couple Nukes, Thanks to North Korea
CIA Director Hayden let out a little more information about that nuclear reactor that Israel bombed in Syria. His agency estimated that it could have produced enough nuclear material for as many as two weapons within a year after it became fully operational.
He also told reporters that the CIA didn’t tell the IAEA about this intelligence because it wasn’t completely ours to give. I think that was the right decision, for whatever reason. The IAEA is about as effective in stopping nuclear proliferation as a wet paper bag is in containing a rabid wolverine and Mohammed el Baradei is worse than incompetent as the head of the agency.
The more we see about this nuclear reaction that Israel bombed, the more it’s becoming apparent that we owe them a debt of thanks for doing the dirty work and taking the heat.
