“Kill the Police”

And people are taking Rush Limbaugh to task? When Rush quoted Al Shaprton threatening to “demonstrate” in Denver, this is exactly what he was talking about:

NEW YORK (AP) – Hundreds of angry people marched through Harlem on Saturday after the Rev. Al Sharpton promised to “close this city down” to protest the acquittals of three police detectives in the 50-shot barrage that killed a groom on his wedding day and wounded two friends.

“We strategically know how to stop the city so people stand still and realize that you do not have the right to shoot down unarmed, innocent civilians,” Sharpton told an overflow crowd of several hundred people at his National Action Network office in the historically black Manhattan neighborhood. “This city is going to deal with the blood of Sean Bell.”

Sharpton was joined by the family of 23-year-old Sean Bell – a black man – and a friend of Bell who was wounded in the 2006 shooting outside a Queens strip club. Two of the three officers charged were also black.

The rally at Sharpton’s office was followed by a 20-block march down Malcolm X Boulevard and then across 125th Street, Harlem’s main business thoroughfare, where some bystanders yelled out “Kill the police!”

Where Sharpton goes, violence follows. He is a despicable man, who lives off ramping up anger and hatred to make himself a few more bucks. Michelle Malkin is rightly calling out all the people who have, in just the past couple or three years, given this man a place of honor, Democrats and Republicans both. She says, “Cut him off”.

I’d go farther than that. I say, “Call him out”. Make him answer for all the people he has rallied into the streets. Make him accountable, finally, for the blood on his hands. Scorn him and shun him and make sure that he is never again welcome in civil company.

But, yeah, folks. Rush Limbaugh is the dangerous one here.

Didn't see much of the news this weekend, busy with the task of selling the house. This is just par for the course for Sharpton. Just last month he shot off his big mouth about the unjust treatment of the black youths who raped and terrorized a young woman and her son.

As you said Jimmie, where is the outrage and why, why, why does this man keep getting a pass???? Thats the part I just don't get.

He gets a pass from the media because of their own laziness. The media likes to paint certain groups as if they are of one mind. That makes things clean & neat. Certainly makes reporting easier if you have one or two spokes-people that can speak for the entire group.

The problem is, the Sharpton & Jackson no more speak for all black people than the KKK speaks for me as a white person….or as NOW speaks for me as a woman. The fault lies entirely with the media for giving him the forum when he doesn't have the following to back it up. They do the same thing with CAIR and to some extent LULAC & the other Latino group and with supposed gay group reps. It is unfair but unfortunately, the squeaky wheel gets the camera-time.
