Illinois’ Still Shaking
This Midwest is not done rocking and roling quite yet. Scientists have logged 15 aftershocks since the quake that hit on Friday. The biggest one clocked in at 4.5 on the Richter scale, which is not necessarily a small tremblor by any means.
I’m kind of curious now what’s causing such a prolonged event. It’s not as if there are a ton of fault lines in that particular area, though southern Illinois (and it’s worse farther south into Missouri and Tennessee) does seem to get shaken a lot more than I would have thought.
