Yes, Say Superdelegates, You Are a Bunch of Gun-Toting, Bible-Thumping Morons.

Is it such a shock that Obama’s calling you all a bunch of hayseed racist yokels is not such a big deal?

Superdelegates from states voting next in the Democratic primary say that Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) controversial comments on guns and religion will not cause much damage to his political standing despite an intensifying assault from Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Republicans.

“I don’t sense a lot of frustration,” said Rep. Baron Hill, an uncommitted Democrat who represents a rural district in Indiana, which will hold its primary on May 6.

“People say, ‘What’s the big deal? Where’s the beef?’ ” said Hill, who added that the strongest reaction has come from members of the press. “Rank-and-file people aren’t that hyped up about it.”

Why would they be? Superdelegates are nothing but Democratic insiders, activists, and lifelong politicians. They’re not ‘hyped up’ about what the Obamessiah said because what he said out loud is what they believe in their hearts. Your religious beliefs, the Second Amendment, your love of family, or your sense of local community are all just things you havebecause you have yet to be properly educated. They have a better religion and a new family and a community that they rule called The State.

Of course there’s no frustration; Obama was saying something they consider as obvious as “water is wet” and “the sun rises in the East”. Why would they think that was unusual?
