Jimmy Carter, The Tyrant’s BFF
Wherever there’s a two-bit tyrant looking to increase his international visibility, there Jimmy Carter will be, filling the role of useful idiot as only he can.
Former President Jimmy Carter is reportedly preparing an unprecedented meeting with the leader of Hamas, an organization that the U.S. government considers one of the leading terrorist threats in the world.
The Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday that Carter was planning a trip to Syria for mid-April, during which he would meet with Khaled Meshal, the exiled head of the Palestinian terror group Hamas, on April 18.
I don’t imagine that he’ll be there to press Meshal to spend the tens of millions of dollars his group gets every year on power stations and quality hospitals and school for his fellow Palestinians instead of rockets to rain down on houses and schoolyards. I doubt that he’ll be going there to convince him to give up the plank in their platform that calls for Israel to be pushed into the sea.
Until the grinning embarrassment from Plains decides to do one of those things, he’s just another garden-variety fatuous fan of genocide.
