During the campaign against Romney, he was actively running against Romney. At the moment, he's not running against Obama. I have no idea what rules he has in place - it could be sort of a "Don't fire till you see the whites of their eyes" thing - and in that case, if the guy broke the rules, then such is life. McCain might prefer to lay low and let the Dems damage themselves without getting into the race issue. The Dems haven't made their choice yet - yes, it looks like Obama is going to end up with it, but it isn't over till it's over. The Clintons may yet "steal" it - and tear the party apart in the process - but it may be that until then, McCain just wants to let them have at it. I don't know - you may be right - both of you...but I think I'll just observe for now, and make my judgements later. I don't think this one incident is enough evidence. Well now…hold on a minute. Its why I still won't vote for McCain in spite of how bad the Democrat alternatives look. Its starting to get thick on the Republican side with right wing blogs trying to rally around their guy. They are saying all kinds of things about his integrity & blah, blah, blah. But I remain unconvinced that McCain would be any better, in any respect, than any democrat. And if he is going to actively campaign for the Democrats as he seems intent on doing - maybe he could drop out of the race so that Republicans could actually find a real candidate?
