Do Democrats Even Known Why Superdelegates Exist?
I wonder how many people polled by USA Today in this poll realize that superdelegates exist specifically to counter the votes of the people.
The MSM has been derelict in telling us about this aspect of the Democratic nomination process and it shows. I dare say that people would feel quite differently about things if they knew that the party has believed, for almost 25 years, that it needed a rather large cadre of mostly political insiders and party faithful to come in and balance out the popular vote because it did not trust the people to come to a good decision.
I also expect that Democrats would look at their party differently if they knew that the other party doesn’t play that game and doesn’t rely on party hacks and handpicked betters to choose its nominee.
But they won’t know that from following MSM coverage, will they?
