Bringing Back the 60s, Russian-Style!

| March 4, 2008 | Comments (0)

Voting in Russia is done and the winner, to absolutely no one’s surprise, is Vladimir Putin’s hand-picked puppet successor, Dimitry Medvedev. In the best Soviet tradition, the vote was accompanied by threats and intimidation as well as the good old “plentiful Vodka and toilet paper” ploy. Also, to no one’s surprise, Medvedev is intent on working closely with Putin to ensure Russia’s continued slide back to the bad old days of dictatorship.

Putin has graciously consented to be named to the second-highest office in Russia. What a stand-up guy.
