It’s Radio Pandemonium.
What kind of idiot is running Citadel Media? The kind of idiot that doesn’t understand that good ratings brings lots of cash, apparently. First, Citadel fired Chris Core from WMAL in Washington, DC (where he was a favorite with listeners and advertisers) and now Michelle Malkin reports that Melanie Morgan has been let go at KSFO in San Francisco.
That’s two popular and money-making hosts gone in just a couple few days. Citadel has taken what used to be a strong ABC Radio network and is quickly making it a laughing stock where only the foolish or hopelessly outdated would choose to work. But it’s not just the talk radio stations that are being wrecked. I spent a little time listening in to one of Citadel’s stations here in the DC area that had been the only “smooth jazz” station in the area. It was unceremoniously flipped to a true oldies format on Friday (which incidentally makes it the only pure oldies station in the area). I was amused to hear commercials for explicitly jazz-related products and events, though. I can’t help but wonder if the people who paid money to advertise their jazz concert or new album on a jazz station are pleased that they’re now talking to an oldies-oriented audience. I’d think they have grounds to sue the company to get the remainder of their money back.
The aforementioned idiot has a name by the way. It’s Farid Suleman, and he’s raking in a ton of cash while piloting his company right into a mountainside.

Read the link. Sounds like an inside job to destroy conservative talk radio in a way that Air America couldn't. Wonder if any kind of a money trail could be make back to our old "friend" Soros….
Not that he's the _only_ Lib with big bucks.
Remind me again why the Dems are the friends of the "little guy" and Repubs are the "country club" politicians????
Sue, I'm not entirely sure that's true. Core isn't a conservative on a lot of issues and he got the axe pretty unceremoniously. I think that conservatives are, thankfully, so prevalent on talk radio that if you cut hosts, it's likely that most of them will be conservatives. You'd have to hunt pretty hard for liberal hosts to cut, especially liberal hosts who are getting decent ratings.
