Iraq to Put Down Another Monster

The Iraqis are about to set the beast known as Chemical Ali to dance.

Chemical Ali – whose real name is Ali Hassan al-Majid – was one of three former Saddam officials sentenced to death in June after being convicted of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity for their part in the 1988 Anfal campaign that killed nearly 200,000 Kurds. An appeals court upheld the verdict in September.

He got his nickname from the Kurds he was slaughtering because of his proclivity for deploying chemical weapons to kill entire villages full of women and children. I hope that every single death he has caused haunts him until his dying day. I doubt that is true as he showed no remorse for his butchery during his trial, but a man has to have some hope doesn’t he? I don’t think it’s too much to ask that the monsters of the world see their monstrosity clearly and with all the horror it deserves at least once before they die.
