McCain Apologizes to Obamessiah for Supporter’s Profligate Use of His Middle Name

Apparently, a talk-show guy who introduces John McCain at a campaign stop yesterday went just a bit over the line. He said Barack Obama’s middle name a time or three too often, which is, as we all know, code for “Barack Obama’s a dirty stinking MOOOOOOSLAM”, right? Apparently, that’s considered an “attack” and must be defended.

Oh, did you know that the Obamessiah’s middle name is Hussein? Yep. Hussein.

Hussein. Hussein. Hussein. Hussein.

Couldn’t tell you if that’s a bad thing or not. Here in America, we’re cool with it. You might want to ask some of the folks with whom he’s going to have to meet under potentially tense circumstances if they’re okay with a former Muslim meeting with them, though. It might be a bit hard to do all that neat diplomatic stuff with countries that think you’re led by an apostate who shuold be put to death. But maybe it won’t be a problem. Just don’t bring it up and it’ll all be okay.

Anyhow, Johnny Mac rode to Hussein Obamessiah’s rescue and apologized for the rabble-rousing. Here’s the nut of the apology.

“I will not tolerate anything in this campaign that denigrates either Sen. Obama or Sen. Clinton.”

Oh, that conservatives got the same pleasant treatment from the Maverick and his campaign. I’m betting Mitt Romney wished he had gotten that much consideration from McCain’s people. I think maybe that Johnny Mac is living by Ronald Reagan’s famous rule, “Never disagree with someone with whom you agree 80 percent of the time. Unless they’re conservative, then screw ‘em. Knock them out with a ball-peen hammer and throw them off a bridge into deep water. Metaphorically, of course. Unless you’re talking about those damned “build a fence” people, which case, I’m not even kidding. Hammer and cement overshoes for every one of those racist bastards.”

I may have misremembered that quote, but I’m fairly sure that’s how he remembers it.
