National Post: Global Warming? Not Up Here, Bub!

Who would have thought that global warming would have brought on a rush of snow shovel purchases?

Snow cover over North America and much of Siberia, Mongolia and China is greater than at any time since 1966.

The U.S. National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) reported that many American cities and towns suffered record cold temperatures in January and early February. According to the NCDC, the average temperature in January “was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average.”

Meanwhile, Toronto’s been spending the month of February digging out from a record amount of global warming. And, according to the Canadian Ice Service (now delivering cubes and shaved ice for all your party needs!), ice in the Arctic Sea has recovered and is thicker in placed than it was last year.

There’s more, including the case of computer modelers forgetting that wind is what tends to drive ocean currents, not ice melt. It looks like the consensus is breaking down more and more every day.
