Because Sara says so. In Nazi Germany it was the socialists that became fasicts... Was that simply magic? Add to this list Jim Jones. There were people that wanted to leave Jonestown but being the good leftist that he was decided to give the order to kill those people in the name of peace? I'll bet if they would have had a choice, they would have rather been waterboarded you smart ass. Speaking of, I'm just loving Obama's war face. He's a killing machine goose stepping along with everything that W did. Remember, W the fascist-war-for-oil guy? Yes, that's a good little leftist...

“Sara” speech is typical leftist drivel. Why is leftism diametrically opposed to fascism? Fascism is diametrically opposed to leftism. In a true fascist state, all leftists would be severely oppressed and quaking in fear, fleeing, or dead. How would liberals be happy with that? Nonsensical.
Can you quote for me, by the way, a part of a fascist speech which closely resembles what Michelle Obama said?
"You have to stay at the seat at the table of democracy with a man like Barack Obama not just on Tuesday..."
Fascism is autocratic and tyrannical. What part of "sitting at the table of democracy" is fascist? Unless the table is really a waterboard, I guess.
As an aside, another commenter said that Wilson was fascist. Wilson was not a Democrat in the modern sense, nor do I like the guy. His favorite movie was Birth of a Nation. Modern Democrats didn't start coming about 'til FDR's New Deal, and FDR was a mixed bag. Way over-rated AND over-hated.

"Well, there will always be a certain segment of the left that’s just fine living in a fascist state so long as they’re in control."

Fascism is diametrically opposed to leftism. Naxizism was a seperated socialistic Party that was never accepted by the Italians. Anyway I was an avid McCaine supporter until today when I finally heard Obamas Fascist side. REMEMBER FASCISM=PATROITISM ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU,BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY

What is Fascism? how can it be confused with hitler when Benito Mussolini had no choice but let hitler in. FDR filled the Supreme Court with justices that would allow for his unconstitutional acts. Some would argue FDR was the worst president we have ever had. Though he was loved by the people because he bribed the voters by spending money on projects to employ people. This a kind of round about way of bribing people. Sorry about being a little off topic but I could not help interjecting my 2-cents worth.

Jimmie is right about this one. And actually, you have the business/government relationship backwards. Government controls the businesses in fascism, per Mussolini's own words. It doesn't own them, but guides them into producing for the good of the state.

Wilson would have qualified. So would Roosevelt.
