McCain was Unacceptable in 2006

| February 7, 2008 | Comments (2)

By the by, lest anyone think my opposition to McCain is a new thing, here’s a post that’s almost two years old. He hasn’t changed his stripes.

Tell me, why would he change them now, if not for the election?

  1. All of this derangement about McCain being the most electable boils down to one thing. "No Democrat in the White House!"

This has become a sprint to the White House, rather than the marathon of upholding the principles Which are supposed to be the core of the party.

There is a forest and trees analogy I can't seem to remember.

  2. Jimmie says:

Perhaps. I still think it is a sound strategy, politically, if Clinton actually wins in November. I admit my reasoning may not be perfect but, to this point, no one has even tried to reason against it.

Y'know, this might be worth talking about on your fancy radio show. If you ever have room for me and feel the need to have your ratings slide off into Congressional Approval Rating territory, I'd be honored.
