Obama Routs Clinton in SC
Well, tonight’s Barak Obama shellacking of Hillary Clinton ought to make things really interesting for the Democrats.
It looks like the Clinton’s strategy of “remind everyone that Obama’s black” didn’t work so well in a state with a ton of black Democratic voters. I wonder what they have planned to make up the ground they lost tonight. Because after tonight, they’re not the front-runners by a good distance.
Obama on the other hand needs to take Han Solo’s advice and not get cocky. His inexperience and his command of the issues which is so thin is makes Kate Moss look like Mama Cass are serious weak points. Despite his preacher-man approach to campaigning, he’s going to need to put forth something substantial at some point in the near future or Hillary Clinton will steam roll him. Good looks and great patter only get you so far.

Great breakdown of tonight's results. As you point out, there's a big voting block that won't go for Obama if he doesn't have any substantial positions on key issues in the coming weeks. The current economic situation presents him an interesting opportunity to develop a plan at the same time as Hillary Clinton and see how voters react.
There's a blog – SuitablyFlip – that has a table with the Republican candidates tallies on it. Romney has twice the delegates that McCain has, although obviously it's still early. Nevertheless, the reason I mention this is because you keep reading that McCain is the leading candidate. At this point, he's not, but they're saying so. I haven't looked for a tally on the Dems. I have no idea how the delegates total so far – but just because the MSM touts one or the other as the "leading" candidate, doesn't make it so.
