Economy Down: Dogs and Cats Hardest Hit
I said that the MSM is bound and determined to sink this economy by any means possible. I don’t think you have to look any farther than this sad excuse of a news story for proof.
The tentacles of the foreclosure monster reach all the way into a Naperville animal shelter, where McKenzie and Rocket are its collateral damage.
The doggie duo — a black Labrador retriever and a shiba inu — wound up there a few days ago, when their owners, facing the loss of their home, gave up the pets to the shelter.
Far from being victims of “the foreclosure monster”, these pets are victims of a more immediate beast: owners whose greed or carelessness got them into this situation or whose pride drives them to leave an animal to die of thirst or starvation before taking it to a shelter or finding another owner.
But it’s a lot easier to cast everyone as innocent victims of the Foreclosure Cloverfield Monster than it is to call out the owners of these pets and to chide them for their despicable or selfish decisions. A story about the owners and how their decisions have led to pain and displacement for loyal and loving pets wouldn’t do much harm to the economy either.
