God Said, “Go”.

Well, darn it, this isn’t good news at all. Robert Stacy McCain, the big brain behind the Washington Times’ Fishwrap, is leaving the paper to write a book and take on whatever other pursuits strike his fancy. McCain is, at least for a couple more weeks, perhaps my favorite MSM blogger and The Fishwrap is a daily read for me. It’s also nice that every once in a while he’s link to one of my posts. I’ve never gotten so much as a nibble from any other newspaper anywhere and it’s cool to know that someone with McCain’s journalistic chops with the “reach” that he has would share something I’d written with a much bigger audience than I could get on my own.

I hope the person who replaces him brings the same kind of humor and insight to the work that he did (and I hope that person reads my blog once in a while, too!). I definitely wish Robert the best in his travels and on the book he’s writing.
