There’s No Crying in Campaigns!

So the news from the campaign trail today is that Hillary Clinton got ever the teensiest bit emotional at the thought of seeing the country “fall backwards”. Apparently, in Clintonland, the Other Guys are just waiting to bring repeal a few Constitutional amendments and plunge us back into the Dark Ages.

Of course, the Senator doesn’t seem to pay much attention at all the the folks who have already spread their own Dark Ages around the globe and who really do want to do all the things to women and minorities and children that she thinks the Republicans want to do. he sorrow is as misplaced as her priorities. But, she is who she’s always been and I suppose that’s her greatest advantage. You know what you’re getting with Hillary Clinton.

Kudos to The Anchoress for predicting The Day the Tears Would Flow almost a week ago. Why, it’s as if Clinton’s political act is so contrived that an astute observer could almost tell you what she’ll do from week to week.

Do read her post, though. Her thoughts are, as usual, well-considered and wise.

UPDATE: Oh, this is rich. Political consultant to the Losers, Bob Shrum has penned an op-ed wherein he gives some advice to Senator Clinton. I’d advise her to read it carefully, then do the opposite of everything he says. There’s a reason that Shrum’s record in Presidential elections is 0-8. Why people keep treating him like he has anything useful to say is beyond me. I’d be a better consultant than Shrum.
