Troop Sergeant Dominic Conway, 32 – who directed mortar rounds – grinned: “It must have had quite a detrimental effect on their morale.”

Man, is that lovely writing or what? “Our Boys”? “Ragtag Taliban”? “Evil terrorists”? That’s exactly how the war against the Islamists is supposed to be reported. The Islamists are evil, by any sane definition of the word. The Taliban is ragtag, having been chased from pillar to post by Our Boys.

I think I’d kill to see that headline – “Our Boys in blitz on Taliban” – appear on the front page of the New York Times or the Washington Post. It won’t happen, though. The MSM aren’t staffed with great patriots. They prefer to think of themselves as citizens of the world and brave dissenters, which means that their alliegance is to…something aside from the country that gives them the freedom to be such butcher-accomodating ingrates.

Thank goodness for the unabashed love of country that produced that article. It’s refreshing to see the good guys rooted for and the bad guys rightfully demonized.
