Arresting the President? Impeachment? Go Right Ahead, Democrats! Let Your Freak Flags Fly.
Michelle Malkin finds yet another case of Bush Derangement Syndrome in – surprise, surprise – Vermont. Some activists there want to put an item on the agenda which, if approved, would insist that wold subject the President and Vice President to arrest if they visited Brattleboro.
Meanwhile, Florida Democrat Robert Wexler is gathering signatures to press for impeachment hearings. He has 250,000 signatures thus far.
I suppose I should make points about the utter ridiculousness of the Brattleboro movement and the speciousness of Wexler’s alleged evidence. But I won’t. The truth is, I want both of these efforts to succeed. I want to see Brattleboro, Vermont become a national embarassment. I want to see the Democrats start impeachment proceedings based on the flimsy, conspiracy-laden, hate-riddled rationales they’ve concocted over the past six years.
I want to see the Democrats waste the better part of a year trying to impeach a President who will not be in office in a year anyhow. The proceedings will essentially grind the Congress to a halt, which is entirely a good thing in my view. The entire country will also see the inanity of the Bush-hatred played out in front of them like some idiotic Punch and Judy show, which is also a good thing in the end. There’s no way the leftist could keep Congress after letting their freak flags fly so proudly for a whole year on national television. No way at all. And I relish watching the BDS-addled Dems try to explain to over half the country why they’re trying to overturn the first majority vote for President since the 1980s in which a record number of people voted for a President.
Oh I very much want to see impeachment hearings this year. It’ll be the end of the leftists as a political power for the next decade at least. So, yeah. Make with the hearings, guys. I can’t wait.
