I just got this in my e-mail box and thought I’d pass it along.
Amazon is running a good sale on Kitchen-Aid stand mixers. I have one of their 4.5 quart mixers and I really do like it. You can snag various attachments that make it pretty indispensable in any kitchen. One day very soon I’m going to use the ice cream attachment and make a couple quarts of chocolate for those days when the sweet tooth attacks!
This model is an exceptionally good buy and is very close to the model I own. If you have family members who do a lot of cooking, and who don’t own a stand mixer already, get this one as a gift. They’ll love it. And you’ll get it at close to half-price.
If you want to go with an even more professional, and slightly larger model, you could do a whole lot worse than this.
