Senator Clinton really can be a nasty piece of work. Whether she knew of this slander her self or not, there’s no way a reasonable person could think that someone very high up in her campaign didn’t know about this. It’s likely, given the Clinton campaign style, that she or her people directed the whole thing.
It’s jut nasty, nasty stuff that sought to trade on our worst instincts and was, flat out, a lie. She needs to pay an electoral price for it and I’m fairly sure she will. My bet is she so manically needs to be President – that her entire adult life has been building toward an eventuality that’s no longer so eventual – that you’ll see more of these types of attacks as her numbers continue to drop.
