Doing the Spying Americans Won’t Do

Okay, this is getting ridiculous. Perhaps we can’t deport every illegal immigrant who’s here in the US right now and I’m amenable to the argument that we shouldn’t even try. Surely, though, there is a middle ground between “deport ‘em all” and “open the floodgates”.

I’d suggest that as a reasonable compromise we start by making sure that we don’t hire illegal immigrants to work at the FBI and CIA. But if we absolutely can’t keep illegal immigrants from working there, can we at least make sure they don’t steal sensitive information and carry it home to their Hezbollah friends in Lebanon?

Can we at least get that initiative off the ground, huh?

Another thought occurs to me as well. Tom Tancredo looks a whole lot less alarmist now in the light of this story.
