Vote Democrat and Definitely Go To Heaven!

In a stunning development, DNC Chairman Howard Dean has decreed that the Democrats are forming their own religion.

In another statement likely to stir debate among the evangelical Christians his party is urgently trying to court, Dean also asserted “there are no bars to heaven for anybody,” according to the report by JTA, a 90-year-old non-profit organization which calls itself “the global news service of the Jewish people.”…

“This country is not a theocracy,” Dean said, according to JTA. “There are fundamental differences between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party believes that everybody in this room ought to be comfortable being an American Jew, not just an American; that there are no bars to heaven for anybody; that we are not a one-religion nation; and that no child or member of a football team ought to be able to cringe at the last line of a prayer before going onto the field.”

I think when Dean said “not a Theocracy” he probably forgot to add “…well, except for ours”. Aside from the slurry of “puppy dogs and rainbows” theology, which is egregious enough, Dean is treading on ground that usually brings Democrats, expecially anti-Christian Democrats, just a-running. I can’t help but wonder if suddenly the usual suspects have lost the telephone numbers to all their MSM friends, because I’ve yet to see Barry Lynn or anyone else show up decrying Dean’s foray into combining church and state in a way that no promiment Republican politician has done in recent memory.

Also, someone should probably get in touch with the Unitarians to see what they think of the Democrats horning in on their terrtory.
