The NBA has a new marketing slogan this year, “Where Amazing Happens” which is, I think, a way for the league to step away from the old marketing scheme which was pretty much to pump up a few star players and let the merchandising for those guys (Kobe, Shaq, D-Wade, Kevin Garnett, etc) carry the day.
The flaw in that scheme is that, in the NBA, players don’t win championships. Teams do. Which is why, after watching their much-hyped stars go down to ignominious defeat while a Honest-to-God team steamrolled everyone in its path to win the title, the NBA decided that maybe hyping the league instead of a few players might be a good idea.
However, this is Washington and we have a bona fide star and a team to go along with him. Gilbertology took the NBA’s slogan and Agent Zero-tized it. I like the results.
My own creation is sitting on top of this post. My favorite Gilbertology remix comes after the jump.
