How Does This Happen?

I’ve seen this story from the University of Delaware about five or six times in the past couple days. Every time I see it I wonder what educator in their right mind could possibly accept the coercive reeducation of young people under their charge? What strange little switch in their heads flipped over to “totalitarian” to allow them to look at this program and think it’s just peachy keen?

I just don’t get it.
