Battlestar Whenever

If you’re a fan of the Sci-Fi Channel’s Battlestar Galactica, there’s some good news and bad news in your future.
The good news is that if you live in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas or Seattle, you can catch the two-hour episode called “Razor” on the big screen on November 12. If you’re a fan and don’t live in one of those cities, you can still watch the show on November 24, when it’ll air on the Sci-Fi network. The DVD will be available on December 4, ten days later.
The episode, which looks at the crew and some history of the Battlestar Pegasus and apparently will push the Season Tree stories a bit farther will have to hold us all. That’s because the bad news is that Season Four of the show, which was originally slated to begin sometime in January, 2009 has been pushed back to April. Yep, that means we will have waited a whole year for new episodes of the show. I suppose we can ask out friends who rabidly followed The Sopranos how that feels.
From here, it looks like yet another colossal goof on the part of the Sci-Fi channel, whose scheduling department is, I suspect, manned by a family of brain-damaged gibbons.
