Okay, So She Gave Away Her Cat…

This is the sort of journalistic inanity that really makes me hate political campaigns.

Look, I don’t care that the Clinton’s ditched their publicly-beloved cat after their time in the White House was over. If folks don’t know by now that the Clintons’ public persona are crafted for approval ratings, then this story isn’t going to convince them. What it does do is distract from the legitimate complaints that could be made about the Senator, not the least of which is that she’s an unrepentant socialist who honestly thinks that your money really belongs to the state and that government is always and only the answer to every problem in society. That point of view is wildly out of step not only with most Americans but with the entire philosophy on which America was founded. Clinton’s actual positions ought to be the focus of the news stories, not what she did or did not do with a cat.
