Tom Brady: On a Rampage

Because man can not live on serious stories alone, I want to take a moment to look at the incredible season of football Tom Brady is having thus far. I don’t know that any professional quarterback has gotten off to a start like Brady’s.

Here are his stat lines, week by week:
Week 1: 22 of 28 passes completed for 297 yards, 3 touchdowns, no interceptions.
Week 2: 25 of 31, 279 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
Week 3: 25 of 25, 311 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT
Week 4: 25 of 32, 231 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
Week 5: 22 of 38, 265 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT
Week 6: 31 of 46, 388 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT

This week, he turned his game way past 11: 21 of 25, 354 yards, 6 TD, 0 INT. That, folks, is nearly a perfect game of football.

Only twice this year has Brady completed less than 70 perent of his passes and has a completion rate of slightly over 72 percent. He’s never has a quarterback rating under 105 and is averaging a rating of 128. If he keeps it up, he’ll shatter the NFL record for passer rating and completion percentage. He also stands a good chance of breaking the touchdown passing record.

If you’ve not seen Brady play, you simply must even if you only like football a little bit. he’s playing some of the most beautiful ball you’ll see in your entire life and he’s putting together a season for the ages.
