The 2007 Weblog Awards: Nominations Open
Kevin Aylward has fired the starting pistol on the 2007 Weblog Awards by opening the field for nominations. This year there are well over two dozen categories in which you can nominate your favorite blogs.
I have had the honor of being a finalist in 2004 and 2005 and, though I missed the cut in 2006, very much support the attention that the Weblog Awards bring to deserving bloggers.
I’m not actually stumping for nominations nor votes this year. I will say that if you were so inclined to nominate me, the categories where I’d probably best qualify are the ones for Best Individual Blogger and Best of the Top 1001 – 1750 Blogs (the TTLB Ecosystem Category). I’d be a liar if I didn’t say I’d enjoy being a nominee again this year, but please don’t take this post as a plea to nominate me. This year, though, please do find a blog that you think is award-worthy and spend a couple minutes giving it some nomination love. And should it make the finals, vote as often as you can!
UPDATE: Nominations are being accepted until October 15th. Many of the categories look wide open right now, so go fill them up with your favorite blogs!
For anyone who is interested in nominating The Sundries Shack, you can use one of two RSS feeds. My regular feed URL is http://www.sundriesshack.com/?feed=rss2 and my Feedburner Feed URL is http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheSundriesShack and you can use either one, so far as I know.
