When Boring Bores Bore (UPDATE: A Veto and Some Biased Loven)

| October 3, 2007 | Comments (2)

Senator Ted Kennedy has a challenge for President Bush.

Don’t bother reading it. You probably think, like I did, that it would be an exciting challenge, like a drinking contest or maybe a car race down a winding road with a few bridge abutments to avoid and a drunken coed in the passenger seat, but no.

It’s just Ted Kennedy demanding that George Bush be as big a socialist as he is. See, the Senator wants to expand a popular medical care giveaway program that has been used for children to include a whole lot more than the destitute. He’s miffed that the President is going to veto his little plan to sneak national health care on us under the guise of “do it for the children”.

Ho hum. Just another bloviation from a bloated blowhard who’s been peddling the same socialist piffle for decades. What is it, I wonder, that compels rich Democrats to want to give away so much of my money but keep so much of theirs socked away?

Update after the jump.

UPDATE: The President vetoed the bill, hallelujah. Expect the Democrats to use the word “children” approximately one gajillion more times in the next month, as if the children mattered to them as anything more than a means of winning their next election. (via Dave in Texas).

Note the biased headline from notable bias-monger Jennifer Loven. And this. Here, too.

And payment for this was on the backs of cigarette smokers, many of them being low income(my mother in law for one).
This was so blatently unfair and I’m glad Bush vetoed the damn thing.

  2. Jimmie says:

I didn’t even mention how silliy it was to try to fund the bill by using a radical tax increase that would guarantee less money coming in every year.
