Here’s the big, screaming headline in the New York Times.

Obama to Urge Elimination of Nuclear Weapons

Unfortunately, the story is just as full of hype and bereft of substance as Obama himself. As it happens, his big plan is to ask nations, pretty please, to give up their nuclear weapons. He’s going to top that amazing feat by pressing nations who are developing nukes to stop using the never-before seen combo of diplomacy and pressure.

I other words, the super-duper Obama plan that has the Times whipping out all its big capital letters is the same plan that every U.S. President has had for the last twenty years with the added stock leftist twist that he wants us to give up all our nuclear weapons at some point in the future.

Whoo, boy. That man’s all full of the innovations, isn’t he?

Someone go get the Times editorial board some smelling salts. I understand that Obama’s going to release his Sunrise Assurance Plan tomorrow. If they reported his cheese sandiwch on white bread, no mayo please nuclear disarmament plan with such excitement as hasn’t been seen since the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, anything else might just stop their hearts.
