War? What War?

Just remember folks, according to the left, the War on Terror is something cooked up by George Bush to scare gullible Americans into giving him police state powers.

Or, you know, not.

A KEY suspect in the alleged plot to mount an attack in Germany on the scale of 9/11 is on the run in Britain, German security officials disclosed yesterday.

Scotland Yard counterterrorism detectives are hunting the man, who escaped from Germany after a plot to explode bombs at Frankfurt airport and a US airbase. The collective power of the bombs would have exceeded those in Madrid and London in 2004 and 2005.

Let’s remember that “on the scale of 9/11″ means that this Islamist was looking to kill somewhere around ten thousand people in one fell swoop.

It’s also worth noting that this fugitive Islamist got his detonators from Syria, which is a terrorist client state of Iran. You might remember Iran as the country with no gay people who is led by a guy who fits right in at Columbia University and the National Press Club.

UPDATE: Speaking of pure knuckleheadedness from the left on terrorism, please take a gander at Thomas Friedman’s column in the New York Times. Apparently, we’re just stupid for being concerned much at all about terrorism. What we need to do is travel overseas more, be more like the Chinese, and give free health care to the Cubans.

It is any wonder that Islamists think we’re easy meat? How can they think otherwise after reading that claptrap?
