Here’s your biased headline of the day:
The story isn’t any better. It really does shock some people that, once you get past the political blather and journalistic fictions, the President has a very strong six-year record on human rights.
It’s not nearly as strong as I’d like it to be, but it’s a far cry better than his predecessor (who, as I recall, made it a matter of policy not to call what was happening in Somalia a genocide lest the American people demand he do something substantive to stop it) and light-years better than his political opponents in Congress.
