Meanwhile, in Iraq, the MSM (this time United Press International) is again reporting stuff that didn’t happen. This time the culprit is the United Press International and the made-up story is an attack that reportedly disabled the al-Doura power plant.
I’m beginning to wonder if these news services are even in Iraq. I mean, perhaps they’re reporting from a simu-Iraq that’s being run by a civilization of machine intelligences while all the reporters are in little goo-filled pods serving as batteries for their mechanical overlords.
If I see video of a leather duster-wearing UPI reporter running up a wall and kicking a US soldier four times in the head before taking his weapon and firing far more shots from it than it actually carries, I’ll know my speculation holds water. Until then, all I’m left with is the conclusion that the MSM isn’t even bothering to try to be accurate anymore.
On the other hand, there’s Michael Yon, who has another dispatch from the real Iraq. His stories are full of real people with real names doing real things in real locations in Iraq that you can really verify.
